Those trackside at Wentworth Park on Saturday, April 15, 2017 will have the opportunity to enter the draw for the Association's biggest ever oncourse promotion.
Terms and Conditions of the promotion are:
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY – GAME OF CHANCE (“Terms and Conditions”)
1. Promotion name
2017 Golden Easter Egg Safecrack (“Promotion”). NSW Permit Licence Number:LTPS-17-12667
2. Conditions of entry
a) A person submitting an entry into this Promotion is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions. Entries not made in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be invalid. Any information provided about the Promotion and how to enter will form part of these Terms and Conditions.
b) The Promoter is NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners and Trainers’ Association Ltd (GBOTA), Wentworth Park Rd, Glebe 2037 including all related and subsidiary companies, past, present and future officers, agents, representatives, employees and GBOTA.
c) Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are not permitted to enter the Promotion.
e) Subject to these Terms and Conditions entry is free and open to residents of Australia aged 18 and over.
f) One entry will be provided to a person paying for entry or making a non-alcoholic beverage, admission, food or merchandise purchase at Wentworth Park Sporting Complex on Saturday 15 April 2017 between 5.30pm and 9.30pm (Transaction).
3. Duration of the Promotion
The Promotion opens at 5.30pm (AEST) Saturday 15 April 2017 and closes 9.30pm Saturday 15 April 2017 (“Promotional Period”).
4. Outline of the Promotion
a) Between 9.30pm and 10.30 pm on 15 April 2017 five entries will be drawn from all entry forms received (Stage 1 winners)
(b) The Stage 1 winners will then have the opportunity to enter a four digit code into a secured safe in an attempt to open the safe.
(c) The Stage 1 Winners may have one attempt to open the safe in the order that their entries were drawn.
(d) Once a successful attempt is made no further attempts will be allowed.
(e) One attempt only per Stage 1 winner will be allowed.
(f) The person successfully opening the safe will win a $100,000.00 cash prize.
(g) The cash prize will be paid into the Australian bank account nominated by the winner.
5. How to enter
a) Entrants can submit multiple entries to the draw. One (1) entry form will be supplied upon completion of each Transaction.
(b) A person can enter by completing the entry form supplied and delivering it to the Promoter as directed by the Promoter.
(c) Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotional Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.
(d) Entries not completed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or received after the expiry of the Promotional Period will be invalid.
(e) The outcome of any draw is final and binding on every person who enters.
(f) Incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be invalid.
(g) The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, has been made in a fraudulent, misleading, deceptive manner or in a manner damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or the Promoter.
(h) This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook or any other social media company.
6. Stage 1
(a) Stage 1 of the random prize draw will take place at Wentworth Park Greyhounds, Wentworth Park Rd, Glebe NSW 2037 (“the venue”) between 9.30pm and 10.30pm (AEST) Saturday 15 April 2017.
(b) After the stage 1 draw is completed, the Promoter will advise the Stage 1 Winners by text and/or on course announcement. Should the Stage 1 Winners persons not respond in the manner and within the time nominated by the Promoter (being no less than 5 minutes), the entry will be forfeited and a new entry will be drawn. The Stage 1 Winner so drawn will be deemed to be the last drawn. That process will continue until such time as there are 5 stage 1 Winners who have responded in the manner and time prescribed.
(c) A Stage 1 Winner must produce identification acceptable to the Promoter.
(d) Once the Stage 1 winners are complete the Promoter will nominate a time to meet with the Stage 1 Winners at a location inside the venue to complete Stage 2
7. Stage 2
(a) Stage 2 will require the Stage 1 Winners in the order they were drawn placing their selected four digit code into a secured safe combination. Should a Stage 1 Winner be unsuccessful in opening the safe then the next Stage 1 Winner in draw order will attempt to open the safe until all five stage 1 winners have made an attempt or there is a successful attempt whichever first occurs. Stage 1 Winners may have one attempt only at opening the safe. The promotion ends when either there is a successful attempt or when each of the Stage 1 Winners have had one attempt.
(b) In the event that a Stage 1 Winner does not attend the nominated location of the Stage 2 draw within 5 minutes after of the nominated time, the Promoter may at its discretion;
(i) disqualify that Stage 1 Winner;
(ii) allow further time not exceeding 5 mins,
(iii) redraw an entry under Stage 1,
(iv) postpone the promotion or
(v) cancel the promotion
(c) Stage 1 Winners must provide proof of identity acceptable to the Promoter and proof of valid entry in order to participate in the Stage 2 draw or claim the Prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
8. General Terms
(a) The Promotion is conducted by the Promoter.
(b) To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for any claims, costs, expenses, loss (including loss of opportunity) or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or damage) suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to that arising as a result of any negligent act or omission) as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected with:
(i) this Promotion (including participation or attempted participation in the Promotion by an entrant);
(ii) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control);
(iv) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; or
(v) any entry that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after its receipt by the Promoter).
(c) The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the entrant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Promotion, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof, that may occur in the course of the administration of this Promotion.
(d) The Promoter will not be responsible for any delay or loss in transfer, or as the result of incorrect bank account details provided to the promoter or other persons involved in the transfer of any cash prize winnings.
(e) By participating in the Promotion, an entrant acknowledges that a further primary purpose for collection of the entrant’s personal information by the Promoter is to enable the Promoter to use the information to assist the Promoter in improving goods and services and to contact the entrant in the future with information on special offers or to provide the entrant with marketing materials via any medium including mail, telephone and commercial electronic messages (SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Message Service), IM (Instant Messaging) and email) or any other form of electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future. By entering the Promotion, an entrant acknowledges and agrees that the Promoter may use the entrant’s personal information in the manner set out in this condition.
(f) If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including (but not limited to) due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, force majeure, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion, subject to any direction given under any applicable laws or regulations, including to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process.
(g) The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
(a) The Promoter is collecting Entrants’ personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this Promotion (including but not limited to determining and notifying winners).
(c) An Entrants’ personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery and regulatory departments (as required) and winners’ names published as described under these Terms and Conditions and as required under the relevant lottery legislation (as applicable). A request to access, update or correct any personal information of an Entrant should be directed to the Promoter.
(d) Each Entrant consents to the Promoter using an Entrant’s name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
